Events that Bring us Together for a Sustainable Future!

What: “Clean Energy Green Jobs Rally!!”

    Where: Arkansas State Capitol

    When: Thursday March 10th 12:30-3:30pm

This rally is for real! There is legislation gaining momentum in our legislature that could really put Arkansas on the map in a big way for sustainable living, clean energy and green JOBS!

Much of this has been made possible because there are some really savvy, motivated Fayetteville activists! Governor Beebe is actually meeting with the former Governor of Colorado to discuss how the green economy enabled Colorado to weather the economic typhoons by turning carbon reduction into poverty reduction!

Don't miss this rally if you can help it. Our state government needs encouragement to take reasonable action because they are simply in uncharted waters. Plus, isn't it meaningful to be one of many agents of much needed change for our collective future?

    THIS EVENT IS SPONSORED BY

    THE GREEN ECONOMY GROUP.

OMNI Climate Change Task Force (CCTF) , the Green Economy Group, EcoLogical Communities, Green for All and the Fayetteville Public Library are partnering for a 10/10/10 Event for Fayetteville (a Sunday).
The event will be at the Fayetteville Public Library from 2-4:30pm.

This is the 350ppm event of Bill McKibben's 350.org for Fayetteville. October 10th is an international day of climate awareness and action. There will be thousands of events all around the world that day and this is ours! Join us!

    http://www.350.org/
    http://www.350.org/350-eco-logical-fayetteville

There will be speakers, beautiful local musicians, green businesses and nonprofits tabling. Best of all this will be an opportunity to register as a member of Eco-logical Communities Fayetteville, which is revolutionary! At the very least it is a way to cut your utility usage and energy consumption. At its best and with adequate involvement Eco-logical Communities could be a way to unite an entire community for a complete transformation to sustainable living.

This day will highlight how ceasing our dependence on fossil fuels would make society more just (locally & globally), revamp our economy to be sustainable & steady (not choked on growth), and make our world a more peaceful place (improving the security of all nations)!
