Video Underground: Inside Job Movie Party

Sunday February 12, 6:30pm

Video Underground will host a MoveOn.org Movie Party this month.  Come join the viewing and discussion of the economic meltdown from which we are still trying to recover.

In the Academy Award winning documentary Inside Job, director Charles Ferguson breaks down in a clear and comprehensible way how the housing and economic collapse happened—and names the politicians and Wall Street bankers who are responsible.

On February 11 and 12, thousands of MoveOn members will gather in living rooms nationwide for Inside Job Movie Parties. We'll watch the film, get informed, and meet other people in our communities who want an economy that works for the 99%—not just the super-rich. After the film, we'll discuss how to keep the 99% movement strong in communities across the country.

Members & Friends Gathering, January 22, 2012

Stensgaard Center, Life Styles Complex

Many thanks to our extended family of members and friends who joined us at our Annual Gathering last month. Over 120 people came together to share a fabulous meal and to vision a future where peace, justice and ecological sustainability will prevail.  It was an inspiring evening in a great setting.  We're already looking forward to next year's gathering!

OMNI Center statement on the Occupation Movement

OMNI Center supports the nonviolent protests against economic injustices that began on Wall Street and are now in hundreds of cities, including Fayetteville and other Arkansas cities.    We are pleased to support them in their efforts.
Occupy protesters’ commitment to nonviolence, inclusion and consensus decision-making are consistent with our principles, and our own work to move society in a sustainable direction, help people find justice, do productive work, feed their families and maintain their inherent human dignity.
We are excited that people are making the connections between economic injustice, militarism and the growing disparity of wealth that endangers both their futures and our entire society. We, too, are outraged about the domination of our economic and political systems by self-serving, wealthy interests.

No one knows what will emerge from this fertile and growing movement, but we will stand with it as it stands strong for nonviolence and commitment to positive change.
