Small Changes Aplenty!

Hey all!

Gosh, I don't know how many small changes we've made, but it's on the order of "crazy."  The most significant ones revolve around the forums:  Now, we're posting more questions, ideas, and thoughts with the hope that you'll feel inspired to join us in discussion.

If you're unsure about this whole "Forum thing" for OMNI, please take a few minutes to read our case for OMNI forums.  After giving it some deep thought, we're convinced that it's extremely important for OMNI supporters to take the time to share their brilliance in our online space.

What are your thoughts on this issue?  If you feel moved to share them, head on over to Website Feedback & Questions to let us know what's on your mind.  And if you don't have one, go ahead and request an OMNI website account.  It's the best way to stay connected with others in the online space.

Notice a change?

Hello!

The emails you receive from OMNI should've changed completely!  They reflect the website's look, and encourage you to spend some time here getting to know each other, and what we have to offer (leaving comments, posting in the forums, and more). This switchover also involves lots of new, categorized sections.  We've split all of the events you used to receive into four different categories:

• (OMNI) Events
• Action Alerts
• Community Events
• Critical Information

We're aiming to put info into each of these sections as soon as we receive it.  Then, 3 times per week, we will email you links to the new information, along with lots of pertinent information.

If you're not receiving OMNI's correspondence, then you simply must sign up with us!  Use the "Keep Up With OMNI" sign-up box that you'll find on any page, choose the newsletter list, and keep in the OMNI know!  Or you can visit this link to sign up directly! 

This is one of the biggest changes to our structure we've ever attempted (at least that I've been a part of), so we really want your feedback on it!  Or, if you prefer, please discuss the way we've organized all of this information at the Website Feedback & Questions forum.  Suggestions are welcome!

Forum Refinement

What's happenin', everyone?

I know it seems like a while since the last post, but I promise you there's lots going on behind the scenes.  Now we have restructured the forums, which makes things easier not only for us on the development end, but, most importantly, for you.  Now there are only 3 sections of forums in the drop-down menu at the top of the site.  Just pick one, and you'll see all of the forum options in one easy page.  Also, every single forum is visible from most pages on the website near the top of the page (usually on the right).  This is for ease of reference if you want to see them all at once! 

You are completely welcome to start chatting now!  However, soon we'll have our new communication system, which will hopefully encourage lots more people to spend some time in those forums.  You'll have lots more conversation partners once that happens!

P.S.  For the curious, we're also looking into highly technical (yet easy to use once they're implemented) ways to create more integrated forums that are even easier to navigate.  We don't know exactly when this would go into effect, but we wanted you to know that we're always looking to improve your experience!  If you're interested in this kind of thing, feel free to get in touch with us.

Sign up for Newsletters!

Hey all!

Just letting ya know that we now have a newsletter sign-up form on the website.  You can find it on any page.  Should be pretty obvious.  It's through a service called "Constant Contact," a snazzy email "marketing" website.  OMNI's got a subscription, and it lets us do all kinds of cool stuff! 

When you put your email address in there, it will take you to a space where you can pick which of the various newsletters OMNI supports you want to sign up for.  Right now, this includes OMNI's usual newsletter, 350 PPM, TLC / SoS, and the WE Connection.  Even if you're already signed up, give it a try!  I was quite impressed with Constant Contact's wonderful system! 

We have big plans for making correspondence through Constant Contact a little more regular, and that'll mean fewer emails for you.  The ones you do get will be much more informative!  So stay tuned!

Welcome!

Here, you can track many of the noteworthy changes happening within OMNI's website!  For now, while we work out kinks and optimize them, most of the changes are still hidden.  However, in the near future, get ready for some interaction!
